Richard L. Bolen resides with his wife, Lisa, in Lexington, South Carolina where he has resided since completing his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Albany in 1989. Mr. Bolen attended law school at The University Of South Carolina School Of Law where he received his juris doctor degree in 1993. After law school, Mr. Bolen was admitted to the bars of Georgia, New York and South Carolina. Mr. Bolen practiced litigation in upstate New York from 1994 through 1996 before moving back to South Carolina to become General Counsel to the South Carolina Secretary of State. In 1998 Mr. Bolen moved back into private practice by opening his own firm in Lexington which developed into a real estate practice by 2003. At the peak of the real estate market in the mid 2000ís, the Bolen Law Firm had ten employees most of whom supported the real estate practice at the Bolen Law Firm and handled closings throughout the state. Mr. Bolen joined Grier, Cox & Cranshaw in May 2017 and continues to focus his practice on real estate closings, which he handles throughout the state of South Carolina, and a probate practice included wills and estates.
